After the 2023 NBA Draft, the scouting community turns its attention to the 2024 class — which insiders have warned might be the worst cycle of talent in quite some time. There is certainly no Victor Wembanyama; there is also no Scoot Henderson, a guy professional scouts had their eye on for years. However, as we just saw Brandon Miller rise from outside the consensus top-10 recruiting rankings to be a top-five pick, there will be players who make a similar jump. Let’s take a (way-too-early) look at the 2024 NBA Draft Big Board and how I currently peg the top 10. Much like we agonized over No. 1 in the corresponding 2023 recruiting rankings, this projection has a similar feel. In a draft like this, teams will value safe, higher-floor picks to avoid disastrous decisions like Anthony Bennett at No. 1 overall.
