The 2023 NBA Draft is upon us, and it’s what teams have been tanking for! The big prize was Victor Wembanyama, the never-ending wingspan from France, who had teams barely putting competition on the floor during moments this past season. The San Antonio Spurs ended up winning the lottery, which turns into NBA Powerball when Wembanyama is involved. But just because your favorite team didn’t end up with the top pick doesn’t mean there isn’t a ton of talent to be had. Mock drafts often fuel conversation leading up to a draft. I love reading them, and I love making them. So I decided to throw my hat into the ring next to what John Hollinger and Sam Vecenie have been doing for The Athletic’s draft coverage.
