It’s that time of year, folks. March Madness is finally underway, placing many prospective 2023 NBA Draft prospects on the biggest stage of their young careers. The next month will go a long way toward cementing narratives and illuminating NBA teams about which prospects can withstand the heat of battle. The 2023 draft class is somewhat unique in that several potential top-five picks are not playing college basketball. And yet, the likes of Brandon Miller, Keyonte George, and Jarace Walker are centerpieces of very real contenders. A dominant Alabama tourney run could elevate Miller within striking range of the No. 2 pick. There’s ample time and opportunity for the collegiate stars to make their mark over the next month. On the NBA side of things, the competitive play-in race in both conferences makes it difficult to project the lottery picture with any real certainty. That said, teams like Houston, San Antonio, Charlotte, and Detroit are already shoo-ins for the Wemby sweepstakes — I mean, the NBA Draft lottery.
