The deadline for early entrants to withdraw from the NBA Draft and return to school came and went on June 1, creating a few shakeups in our 2022 NBA Mock Draft projections. One projected first-rounder, NC State’s Terquavion Smith, opted to return to Raleigh for his sophomore season, while other big names like Gonzaga’s Drew Timme spurned the professional ranks for another year in college, too. On the flip side, several prospects that many expected to return to school opted to stay in the draft and may hear their names called in the first round. Arizona’s Dalen Terry, Colorado State’s David Roddy and Duke’s Trevor Keels fall into this category and are projected to be selected in the first 30 picks in this mock.
