We’re a few weeks into the NBA season, and we’ve had several marquee college basketball matchups that have allowed scouts to attend games and allowed me to garner some intel on where evaluators are on this class after finally seeing players in competitive settings. The all-important Feast Week is wrapping up, an important part of the season for evaluators due to their ability to logistically see many players at once in single locations. Until conference tournament time comes around, it’s tough to travel to the same gym and see eight teams over the course of a single day (and sometimes three if scouts are really interested in getting a handle on a player). These events are littered around the country, so scouts can hop around from gym to gym, getting eyes on something like 30 teams if they really want to hop around.
