The 2022 NBA Draft Lottery has come and gone, with the Orlando Magic winning the No. 1 overall pick. The Magic will get their choice of top prospects Jabari Smith Jr., Chet Holmgren, Paolo Banchero and Jaden Ivey, allowing them to add to a terrific core that features a number of compelling young pieces. Following them, the Thunder moved up to No. 2 in the draft, positioning them to take a really strong interior presence to add to their bevy of perimeter talent. The Houston Rockets stayed in the top three, a big result that will allow them to take the best of the skilled 6-foot-10-plus players to add to their frontcourt. And the Sacramento Kings moved up and will get a chance to add an impact piece to a team that will look to compete for the playoffs next year.
